Showcasing a unique heritage The kettuvalloms (houseboats) of Kerala are giant country crafts, measuring up to 120 feet in length. It took great skill and meticulousness to construct these giants by tying huge planks of jack wood /Anjili Wood together, without the use of a single nail.

All plans are based on a few fundamental principles. These are:

:: Place the two bathrooms on the centre of the vessel to minimize the possibility of listing due to waste tank fluctuations.
:: Avoid using a bedroom as the main walkway through the boat.
:: Provide adequate headroom - both standing and setting on the bed - in all upper and lower berths.
